Horizn discusses the future on the Finovate Podcast with Greg Palmer

Having won their fourth Best in Show at FinovateSpring 2022 in San Francisco, Horizn CEO Janice Diner and SVP Sales Steve Frook sat down with Finovate VP Greg Palmer on the Finovate Podcast. They discussed how far Horizn has come in just a few years and the evolution of its award-winning platform.

“Thinking back to when you first came across the Finovate stage,” Palmer recalls, “just how much you’ve grown, how many more capabilities you have — it’s been a really cool journey.”

He describes the simple premise at the core of Horizn’s platform: helping people understand the technology their bank offers.

“All banks have the same challenges — we work with all different shapes and sizes of financial institutions.”

“There are so many use cases for the Horizn platform,” Frook explains. “All banks have the same challenges — we work with all different shapes and sizes of financial institutions.” Whether it’s call centres being overwhelmed or a confusing digital experience, he says, “the same challenges exist, whether you’re a national bank or a credit union.”

As Diner explains, Horizn’s current focus is ensuring that both customers and employees get digitally fluent — fast.

“From new digital features, complex ones, as well as bank systems like teller systems that are coming to market, we’re busy ensuring products are launched well, ensuring customers and employees know what’s coming,” she says. “There’s a lot of work to get fully digital customers in the market.”

“We probably have the largest database of digital journeys globally”

Looking ahead, she adds, the applications of Horizn’s platform could be even more expansive. “We probably have the largest database of digital journeys globally,” Diner says. “Imagine for a second if you could start predicting a feature a customer might use next. I think with the database we have, we’re beginning to see the ability to do that.”
